Five friends take off for a get-away to a remote cabin in the woods, only to find that they are not going to have the fun get-away as they expected. Together, they must discover the truth behind the cabin in the woods.

Not know anything about this movie before watching it, I expected nothing more than the typical slasher flick about some kids going into the woods to smoke pot, drink, have sex and get butchered up one by one leaving a girl running and screening through woods for her life.

I couldn’t have been more wrong. I loved this movie. Yes, it did have a small group of kids that go into the woods to smoke week and drink. Yes it did have kids trying to do the naked worm dance. But this movie actually had, dare I say it, a reason! This was no movie about kids getting hammered by booze and then hammered by a lunatic. You find out right from the beginning of the movie that there was a reason for these particular kids to go to the cabin. I’m not going to say more about that. The movie was original and had a great story that wasn’t wasted on a crappy screenplay and shitty acting. Huge kudos goes to the makers of this film. Straight off from the beginning of the movie right to the fantastic ending I glued to the screen loving every minute of it. This is a good movie that is quick paced and felt like it went quickly and it was really fun to watch. I loved the end complexly.

Kill Katie Malone (2010)

A few College students & best friends Ginger Matheson, Jim Duncan, and Kyle “Dixie” Canning, pitch in to buy a “ghost in a box” in an online auction. And as you’d expect in any B rate horror movie, nothing good comes of it.

This was mediocre at best. I was obvious and sometimes boring. Gee wiz, let’s buy a ghost in a box in which grants wishes. Haven’t these people seen the movie “The Gate” back in the 80’s whereas some dorky kid trying to look like a rocker and his goofy friends open a gate to the underworld and when they wished for stuff. Then got it but it all turned to CRAP!?

Okay, so, nothing turns to Crap. However, my mood did when I found myself watching this movie. There is nothing new original about this one. It’s a just another Ghost revenge story in which the Ghost seeks revenge on unrelated to the people that wronged her, Lame. At best, this would be a so-so made for TV movie that doesn’t even need to be edited. It’s quite possible that it actually was made for TV and I just missed the memo. I just didn’t think that it made any sense. I will say this, the acting and direction of the movie was fine. I couldn’t even tell they were acting (Tongue is now pressing against my cheek).
